Rizal, a Malaysian aged 38, is the CFO of AQUAGROW Group. He is responsible for the entire financial spectrum of the Group including financial reporting, taxation, treasury, budgeting, corporate finance and investor relationship. He is also overseeing human resources and administrative function.
He brings with him more than 13 years of wide experience in the accounting, finance and corporate finance matters.
He began his career in banking in 2002 with Maybank, the largest banking conglomerate in Malaysia as an Account Officer and stayed for 8 years. His final position in Maybank was as a Credit Administration Executive.
In March 2010 Rizal moved to EON Capital Islamic Bank as the Assistant Manager in Credit Risk Management before moving to AgroBank in 2012 as the Assistant Manager in Corporate Banking responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of clients with large financing with minimum RM 5 million and above.
In 2014, Rizal joined the Malaysian Government’s Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd (BiotechCorp) as the Manager responsible for the Biotechnology Commercialization Fund (BCF), and involved in fund sourcing for BCF Facility program continuation and other similar programs for SMEs with BioNexus status.
Rizal graduated in 2001 in Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.
