Razali, 49, is the CEO of the Aquagrow Group. His responsibilities include formulating policies and giving directions to the business by developing a corporate strategy and implementing organizational values. Razali is also responsible for creating a suitable organizational structure, which supports the corporate strategy and facilitates coordination across each business unit.
He brings with him more than 22 years business experience from various industries in Malaysia and Australia. From 2008 to 2010 he was the CEO of Malaysian Seafood Trading Corporation Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company that specializes in the sales and distribution of live freshwater fish from Lake Kenyir to Carrefour Hypermarkets in Malaysia. From 2001 to 2007 he was the Director of International Sales for Alphatech Aquaculture Australia Pty Ltd, a marine finfish hatchery business unit in Old Noarlunga, South Australia.
Razali is actively involved in trade and alumni associations – the Marine Fish Farmers Association of Malaysia (MFFAM), the Malaysian Fisheries Society, the World Aquaculture Society (WAS), the Malaysia Australia Alumni Council (MAAC) and the South Australia Business Ambassadors Network (SABAN). He regularly represents MFFAM at regional aquaculture and fisheries forums such as the ASEAN Taskforce on Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture, and the Coral Triangle Initiative’s Live Reef Fish Trade Inter-Governmental Forums. He is also a regular speaker at aquaculture conferences.
Prior to specializing in the aquaculture industry in 2001, he has been a director, shareholder, manager, executive or technical staff of several companies in diverse industries such as Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Systems and Communications Technology (Brisbane and Kuala Lumpur); Building Construction, Civil Engineering and Project Management (Brisbane and Kuala Lumpur); Land Surveying (Brisbane and Hobart); and Hydro Tasmania (Hobart). His responsibilities had included sales and marketing, business development, administration, and technical. He is a prolific traveler to many ASEAN countries, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, South Africa, the US, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Razali holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying from the University of Tasmania and a Post Graduate Diploma in Survey Practice from the Queensland University of Technology. In the 1990’s he was a Licensed Land Surveyor with The Board of Surveyors Queensland and was a Graduate Member of the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia.
