Adzlan, a Malaysian aged 35, joined Aquagrow in 2011 and is currently the Business Development Manager of the Aquagrow Group.
He brings with him more than 12 years of experience in the Aquaculture industry in Australia and Malaysia.
From 2002 to 2007, he has been working in Australia particularly in hatchery and nursery fields. His notable achievements include improving the survival rate of mass rotifer culture, design & build of RAS Hatchery & Nursery System, research of culturing Murray Cod and Marble Goby in Tropical RAS System.
In 2008, he returned to Malaysia and joined Fish Protech Malaysia as a Technical and Operations Manager involved in the design and built of RAS system, hatchery and grow-out operations of Barramundi and Jade Perch in Malaysia. He had successfully cultured and bred Jade Perch in Malaysia, a native species from Australia. From 2010 to 2011, he set up his own consultancy firm in Australia advising on Aquaculture related activities.
Species reared include Barramundi, Jade Perch (Scortum Barcoo), Murray Cod (Maccullochella peelii), Marble Goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata), Salmon and Trout.
He holds a Master’s of Science in Aquaculture and a Graduate Diploma in Aquaculture from the University of Tasmania, and a Bachelor’s Degree of Biotechnology Resource from University of Sarawak, Malaysia.
He is a Co-Owner of Banana Prawn (Fenneropenaeus indicus) Genetic Broodstock Management Software.
