Corporate Social Responsibility

Aquagrow Corporation Sdn. Bhd. has realised the importance of developing and maintaining strong and mutually beneficial relationships with the local community. We have a responsibility to be an active member of the communities in which we live and work. We believe, without a thriving local community with strong infrastructures, we cannot run a successful business. Therefore, Aquagrow has taken an active interest in community well being which will generate community support and good will. This is an important aspect of our business as there are frequent misunderstanding on the impact of aquaculture to the environment and to the local communities due to negative and biased media reporting. Since our operation has started in Langkawi and Tok Bali, we have been quietly helping the local aquaculture farmers by supplying excess frys and fingerlings. We have also helped local organization in small and meaningful ways. We believe our efforts although small in comparison to extravagant events by other companies, have a more personal touch. Once we begin large scale operation, we will continue to invest in the community by helping the local fish farmers improve their income by encouraging contract farming, hiring locally whenever possible, and supporting community projects and organizations. We are currently organizing and planning a larger community outreach programs which will bring a positive impact to the local communities in Tok Bali, Kelantan.
